

















Wildlife Conservation Technician Internship
Conduct biological field monitoring protocols: organizing and implementing field studies to analyze and monitor wildlife and enhance ecological habitats within the Hyde Creek and North River Watersheds.
Start Date: May 9, 2022
End Date: August 26, 2022 (16 weeks)
Requirements Education: Applicants should have or be pursuing a post-secondary degree in biology, botany, wildlife, or other related natural resources field. Applicants must have intent to return to school studies fall 2022.
Essential Skills: Experience conducting field work using various monitoring protocols, including standard survey methods and site observations. Ability to work both as part of a team and independently, comfortably interacting with youth, general community members and private landowners. Good verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to enter data accurately onto a mobile device and computer. Applicants must be willing and able to work outside under sometimes difficult field and environmental conditions
* possession of a valid driver’s license is an asset.
Job work location will be based out of the CAWG office located at 15 Mercedes Drive, Cornwall PE
